Booking Guidelines

Rescheduling & No-Shows

Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy


To support consistent progress and respect the time of our tutors and families, The Tutor Loft adheres to the cancellation policy and rescheduling guidelines outlined below:


No-Show Policy


A student is classified as a no-show if they fail to attend the tutoring session without prior notice. No-shows are not eligible for a refund or reschedule.


Late Arrival


If a student arrives 10 minutes late or less, the session may be held for the remainder of the scheduled time or rescheduled. No additional fee will apply for the rescheduled session. If a student arrives later than 10 minutes from the start of the scheduled session, the session is considered a no-show. 


Rescheduling With Notice


Families may reschedule a session at no cost if the tutor is informed at least 1 hour before the scheduled start time. Rescheduling requests made less than 1 hour before the tutoring session may require booking a new session.


How to Notify


Please notify The Tutor Loft via email at thetutorloft@gmail.com. Notification must be received at least one hour before the session start time to qualify for the rescheduling window described above.


Tutor Cancellations


If the tutor must cancel a session, families will receive the option to reschedule.

Multiple Sessions

Tutoring sessions are scheduled one at a time. If you notice a particular day or time that works for you weekly, reserve it on the booking calendar. Please also take note of our cancellation policy and rescheduling guidelines to ensure a smooth process.

Attending

You will receive an email with a Zoom link to attend your scheduled tutoring sessions. Please ensure your computer or tablet is ready with a microphone and camera. If you encounter any issues, refer to our cancellation policy or rescheduling guidelines, or simply email thetutorloft@gmail.com.

Frequency

In general, students who attend tutoring sessions 2-3 times per week see sufficient progress. The more tutoring sessions they participate in, the more progress they typically make. If a student is behind academically, it is recommended to engage in three sessions weekly.
